Special Interest Groups

One way the HROA provides added value to its members is through the support of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) where organizations that have common interests can meet to share ideas, find support and network. In addition to those activities, the HROA, via its Committees, is focussed on helping its special interest groups in developing standards and conducting research into topics of broad interest.

The HROA currently supports the special interest groups listed above and alongside. Click on each link to find more information about each group.

Defining elements of SIGs:

  • Developed to promote networking and education for specialized HRO segments
  • Determined by the presiding Board
  • Open to any interested members, though some have limited scope/membership
    • Buyer-only groups are for Buyers only (no providers or advisors)
    • Market-segments, e.g., RPO, are open but really only for those with that specific interest and certainly leadership positions are only for those in that field
  • Hold regular meetings
  • Host special meetings and events
  • Has a SIG Chairperson

Member roles:

  • Participation is voluntary
  • Members attend meetings as possible (attendance is not mandatory)
  • Members may be asked to represent the SIG on a Committee or Workgroup
  • SIG Chairperson(s) participate on respective Board as the representative member
  • SIG Chairperson(s) determine and set meeting agendas (consult SharedXpertise staff as needed)
